Professional School Counselor
Dear Parents & Students:
Welcome back to a new school year! I hope everyone had a restful Summer Break! I am Nicole Tubner, the new School Counselor at Pointe South Middle School. This is my 7th year at Pointe South Middle School. In the previous years at PSMS I taught Language Arts in 2006-2007, Graduation Coach 2007-2009, and Family & Community Liaison 2009-2012. I graduated in 1998 from Morrow High School in Morrow, Georgia. After completion of high school, I attended Atlanta Metropolitan College for two years. After my two years of Junior College, I was accepted to the University of Georgia and Georgia State University. I decided to attend Georgia State University where I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Speech and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. I also earned a Masters in Educational Management at Strayer University and a Master’s of Science in Guidance and Counseling at the University of West Alabama. I will visit classrooms and teach guidance lessons throughout the school year. Please take advantages of the resources the guidance department has to offer. I look forward to working with you and helping in any way I can to close the achievement gap. If you have questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at [email protected] or (770) 473.2890 ext. 311.
Yours in Guidance,
Ms. Nicole Tubner
